Dear Editor:

It’s clear that Fontana Planning Commissioners are conflicted about the West Valley Logistics Center. If that’s the case, why are they continuing to recommend rezoning land to build these seven warehouses? It’s easy to see that 3.5 million square feet of industrial development will only bring thousands of diesel trucks to a rural community.

Planning commissioners were not clear about the decision process, instead creating more confusion about this project.

We need an ultimate solution that prioritizes keeping neighborhoods residential. We’ll have safer streets, less traffic, cleaner air, and tranquility. Our children will walk these streets without worry if we keep this area residential.

I urge you to call your city, whether that be Bloomington, Fontana, or Jurupa Valley, and demand that your community stays as it was planned — residential.
