Fontana Democratic Club hosts GOTV Rally for Senator Leyva
Fontana, CA – Fontana Democratic Club is hosting a get-out-the-vote rally and canvas in Fontana for State Senator Connie Leyva this Saturday, May 12, 2018 at 9 am. Assemblymember Tony Thurmond, candidate for State Superintendent of Public Instruction, will also be present to provide welcoming remarks.
“We are proud to support Senator Leyva and welcome Assemblymember Thurmond,” stated club President Kareem Gongora. “Senator Leyva has been a champion for working people and the environment. She is a dynamic representative who truly cares about the people she is elected to serve and we need to send her back to continue fighting for us.”
The club has also endorsed the remaining candidates: John Chiang, Governor; Xavier Becerra, Attorney General; Betty Yee, State Controller; Alex Padilla, Secretary of State; Tony Thurmond, State Superintendent; Fiona Ma, State Treasurer; and Oscar Valdez, Assessor-Clerk/Treasurer/Tax.
